Beliefnet.com is a great community for people like me who are interested in learning about more diverse types of spirituality. I've always loved animals and nature and have become interested in earth-based religions, the teachings of Buddhism, reincarnation, etc.

For me, the traditional basis of Christianity doesn't answer the questions of why we're here and what is the purpose of life. I find these questions better answered among the teachings of Paganism and Buddhism. It seems to me that we learn "life lessons" and those lessons are put to better use if we are reincarnated, rather than if our lives follow the traditional journey of life here on earth to a life beyond in Heaven.

I'd like to meet others who are traveling the same path and share ways to study and learn more.
