A former pediatrician, my fibromyalgia and arthritis forced a midlife career change, so I let my creative side bloom. I pick up some freelance writing and editing now and then. I used to have a regular column, but had to stop that when my daughter got very ill and at the same time my husband suffered a servere head injury. In that column, I explained complicated medical things in a fun and easy to understand way. Hi Grace, you asked how I became life coach, well I was a trial paralegal for about 28 years and got to a point in my personal transformation and development that I knew that was not who I was any longer. I went in search of what career was mine. I consulted a life coach who helped me a lot. I did not consider that to be my next career for a long time while I continued looking at my interests and what I really wanted. It wasn't until I was talking to another coach who specialized in mid-life career changes and she suggested it that I really thought about that for myself. I took a intro class and knew that was it. I really and honestly love it and love getting up in the morning and getting to work!
