How to Dissolve Inner Conflict in Meditation

    Thursday, January 13, 2011, 1:51 PM [General]

    "Any inner pain
    or inner conflict
    can be dissolved
    simply by
    feeling the sensations
    that are present.

    No analysis,
    no fixing,
    no figuring it out and
    no trying to control it.

    All of these things
    keep you from feeling
    the sensations,
    keep you avoiding
    what is here
    in the moment.

It is a blow to the ego
    to simply surrender
    and feel the sensations
    instead of the mind
    trying to dominate the situation.

And it is that blow to the ego,
    that being humbled
    that frees you
    into unconditional peace.

    Blessings,

    Kip"

    Enlightenment: Realizing Unconditional Bliss

    Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 9:16 PM [General]

    "Bliss is not an emotion
or even a state of being.

It has nothing to do with
    outward appearance
    or personality.

    The same bliss
    animates anger,
    sadness, happiness,
    and humour.

    It is the electricity
    that powers emotions,
    powers the physical,
    and the mental.

    It is in everything
    and remains also
    as nothing.

    When you experience
    that this same bliss
    is the underlying current
    of every experience
    and non experience,
    there is incredible freedom.

    When you fully allow
    the personality
to be exactly as it is
    while remaining aware

    you realize your true nature
    as bliss.

    Blessings,

    Kip"

The 2 Most Important Points for Having Deep Meditations

    Tuesday, December 14, 2010, 10:52 PM [General]

    "The two most important
    parts of meditation
    are attention and allowing.

Because if you just practice allowing,
most likely you will escape this moment
    by being identified
    with your thoughts & emotions.

You will be lost in the dream
    of one thought after another
    and you will remain
    unconscious to this moment.

But if you just practice attention
    it will easily turn into
    trying to control this moment,
    trying to force yourself
    or this moment
    to be a certain way.

But if you keep your attention
    completely on your experience
    in this moment
    while allowing this moment
    to be as it is,
you shift into a whole new reality.

    First,
    you have your attention
    on this moment
    and every egoic instinct
will want to take you out
    of being present.

    But in the allowing,
    you surrender the ego,
    you surrender control
    and suddenly
    you see everything is happening.

    Everything is moving by itself.
    Everything is arising
    out of one consciousness
    out of stillness
    all on its own.

    There is the constant flow
    of peace and bliss
that arises in you and as you
    and as everything.

To even say it is like watching a movie
    does not say it.

Because there is no you and the movie.

    There is the light
    that animates everything
    and you exist as that;

    in and as everything
    yet at the same time
    completely transcendent
    of everything.

    Blessings,

    Kip"

How to Attain Cosmic Consciousness in Meditation

    Wednesday, December 8, 2010, 11:09 PM [General]

    "There is a force in this moment;
    an intense movement of energy.

    The more aware
    you become,
    the more you feel
    this incessant
    flow of energy
    gushing
    like a tsunami.

    The tendency
    is to repress this energy
or to get rid of it,
    usually through
    chasing and fulfilling desires,
    or through worry.

    Even spiritual practice
    can mistakenly become about
    trying to control this flow
    of energy,
    trying to repress this flow
    of energy,
    trying to escape it.

    So in meditation
    you learn
    to recognize this flow
    and surrender to it.

    To live in perfect balance
    and to fully surrender yourself
    as the controller
    so that this energy
    can flow freely.

    It is the entirety
    of life itself
    consuming you,
    breaking you open,

    tearing apart
    your concepts
    and attachments.

    A joy so intense
    it is heartbreaking,

    flowing through you
and as you in this moment,

    awakening you
    to its very existence.

    Stress is created
    by resisting it,
    by escaping it,
by fighting it in every moment.

    Because the ego knows
    it is its undoing.

But by being fully conscious of this energy
and allowing it to flow unhindered,
    you awaken to cosmic consciousness.

    This is what is known
    as walking the razors edge.

    Blessings,

    Kip"

How to Go Beyond Resistance in Meditation

    Tuesday, November 30, 2010, 9:42 PM [General]

    "If you meditate
    for a long enough
    period of time,
    you come to the point
    where you feel edgy.

    You might call the
    feeling boredom
    or antsy
    like you have had
    too much coffee
    to sit still.

    A large part of meditation
    is to go beyond
    this feeling of resistance.

    To continue to sit
    and allow these edgy
    feelings to be without
    giving in to them.

    And in this,
    they burn away.

    You sit still long enough,
the body is going to want to move.
    Instead of moving,
    you allow that feeling,
    you feel that feeling,

you allow and feel it so completely
that you, as a separate person,
as a resistance to that feeling
    dissappears.

    So it is that resistance
    that must be confronted.
    By allowing and witnessing,
you are confronting the ego itself,
    the tendency to separate,
    to resist.

    And in surrendering to that
    you move beyond separation.

    You as a separate person
    as stress and resistance itself
    will dissappear
    and there will only
    be consciousness,
    there will only be peace.

    Not as something
you dip in and out of
    in enquiry or investigation,
    but something
    that is permanantly burned away
    because you stick to it.

Because you dive deep into stillness
    without coming up for air.

    Blessings,

    Kip"
