I have been playing and writing for many years now and even with all this experience under my belt I see endless growth possibilities for the musician. This is my absolute favorite thing about music and with that you can never get bored. As a listener or composer of music have you ever asked yourself what elements really grab you in a song? is it the voice or the rhythm? Screaming guitars or a band that's really tight? Well to me skill is very important but it's the emotion that drives music that makes or breaks it. Have you ever heard a song and had your heart skip a beat, gotten goosebumps or been simply frozen still from an overwhelming flood of emotion? Songs born from personal experience, songs that truly mean something to the artist are going to hit you in a way that nothing else can because every note is delivered with passion and heart. You can pick out the fakers a mile away. That guitarist knows the axe, can do a "Flight of the Bumblebee" type solo without blinking an eye but all you hear are notes. Where is the magic? Where is the fire?
Big Blue has a lot of new material that you wont hear on our first album. Music that comes from heart break, triumph, love and trials. We want to open our hearts to you leaving nothing guarded hoping that God can use these lives we have lived to somehow make a difference. I would love to hear what others love about music and about how it speaks to them.
