About Me:
A lifelong seeker of Godde with an interest in social justice, whose life and spiritual journeys seem to include an inordinate number of dark nights of the soul, considering how much I have been blessed with, and for which I should be truly grateful.
The single mother of two children, both grown, the biological mother of another son, now in Australia, the beloved life partner of the Aging Hippie and until recently, sole caregiver of an elderly mother. I first joined Beliefnet (as an earlier incarnation, without the rather excessive -de on the end of my name) in March of 2003, and have been making a public nuisance and idiot of myself ever since. I am too often a proud fence-sitter, often too keen to squabble, but I love belonging to a group of fellow questioners (or even people who think they have answers, LOL). My essential Leo-ness notwithstanding (the real reason that the Hippie loves me is that I share Jerry's birthday), I mean well, both online and in my 'real' existence.
I've met some beliefnet members in real life, and they've all been memorable occasions (in one way or another, LOL).
My favourite quote:
"'Come to the edge,' He said. They said, 'We are afraid.' 'Come to the edge,' He said. They came. He pushed them...and they flew."
- Guillaume Apollinaire
