Our visitor came because of sickness . Welcome, he is anytime . Spent time with him in emergency . The doctor sent him to the X-ray department . His lungs are clear . He was given two puffers for bronchitis . Doctor told him not to smoke . Not sure if he is accepting this good advise . Not long ago he was told next step is cancer . At that time there was  blood . Is he hearing that life is precious and he must do what he can to keep healthy ? I hope so this time .

People I know say that it is psychological . That is possible I suppose . It is also possible that it is a choice . When I was seventeen I chose to stop smoking . I have not regretted it . Since I have sat with smokers  I too suffer from bronchitis at times . There are many reasons why smokers smoke . When I did smoke it was a declaration of independence . I can do what I want now since I pay for them out of  a measly salary . My children all smoke . One sparingly the other two, much more .Like my ancestors I am pretty good with short stories .My son told me to give it up . He knows that I preach with my stories .
