A people living in darkness has seen a great light . On those who inhabit the land overshadowed by death , light has arisen .(Matt 4 :16)

Don't we need to hear this in our own time ? That is a piece of Good News . There is much darkness in our world . There's hostility , injustice , deception , disilluionment , consequent wars and ultimate despair that grows daily .The entire earth can be destroyed . Tragic it can be if those who profess to be followers of Christ fail in their commisssion to bring light into the darkness .

There was a time when you were darkness ,but now you are light in the Lord . Well , then live as children of light . (Eph.5:8)

We believe that when Jesus Christ rose from the dead , victorious in His battle with the forces of darkness , the light He had come to share with us proved itself to be the most powerful energy of the universe . This was the Ressurection Light , the light of life , given to us to enliven the world .

I am the light of the world . No follower of mine will ever walk in darkness ;no, he shall possess the light of life .(Jn 8:12)

The simple action of calling the Ressurrection Light of Christ into our being , our daily lives , and into the needy areas of the world which concern us , is the stongest and probably most neglected means we have to confront and offset the negative forces at work in our society .
