Welcome RabidWriter! And welcome RabidWriter, Rev Dorris (one of our longest standing members, and a consistently positive and constructive leader), and Oddray (who has also been part of this very open minded group as a consistent voice of support, positive reframing, insightful offering, and humorous and loving connection) as our three new moderators! Thankfully, it was very easy to add you by "promoting" you as members. Let's all hope it is a positive thing for everyone concerned, and I look forward so much to being able to visit as a member amongst members here in this delightful group of "being-ers" (the thing that happens when you realize you don't need to seek for anything, it is right here just waiting to be blended with, and celebrated). Thanks above all goes to Dusty and all of you members who have been caring so carefully for this weakened group-- largely weakened by things beyond all of our control, like beliefnet itself changing (and the online groups becoming so ghost-town like as an immediate and obvious result)-- Student of Many Paths has many paths' wisdom to share, and he embraced me and Sara as family, and he called me today to say "we have willing and able volunteers, what a gift for you Ty, you can receive support, respite" (can't honestly remember the exact words, but they felt so right and validating Dusty. Thanks man) Well, so anyways, I'm so thankful to this group, and for Dusty contacting me to tell me their was new life, like an ancient bonsai with a new limb growing, and waiting to be modelled and cared for with wire and clippers... in other words, get folks who want to help on board as moderators to keep the group atmosphere clean and pure... full of love and friendship, exploration and so much more. In short, keepin it real. Thanks so much all, Ty Ty Clement |

This seems to be the only group I've joined that is still active. Does anyone have any perspective to offer a 38 year old lifelong athiest and/or agnostic about converting to Reform Judaism? My husband is a confirmed athiest and we have no children and do not want children, so I'm on my own on this. I've been doing lots of studying on my own (actually, I've been studying Judaism since I was about 11; this seems like the next inevitable step. Any thoughts or guidance? Rabidwriter |

Back so soon? Yeah. I'm a Gemini, what can I say. The previous post I added here (just below on the bulletin board) was an attempt to apologize for not having been active all summer as contributor or moderator. It was also an necessary relinquishing of responsibility for the group because I feel so overwhelmed by my responsibilities to my family, friends, and clients as a therapist. However, the one Gemini twin's strong assertion that I'm leaving the internet for good, and beliefnet was necessarily out of balance and overassertive. So here I am, other Gemini twin, back to say again, I'm sorry for disappearing for so long, and further, that I'd like to leave things more open endedly than the previous message. I don't have the time or energy to be checking in and posting daily, weekly, or sometimes even monthly. Also, I don't have time to proactively moderate every thread on this group. However, if anything abusive starts going on you can always follow the beliefnet protocol for inappropriate posting (contacting beliefnet staff, "report member", etc.). I hope anyone who agrees with the introduction to this group will be compassionate enough to refrain from bashing others here, but I know there have been some past problems, so as I said, contact beliefnet if you feel abused here. |
PLease folks, Look carefully at the post from Sir Paul regarding a sum of 6.5 Million Dollars. Then think carefully about what are the chances of the story's legitimacy.
student of many pathsI have heard of this "Scam" before, by several names, and in several countries, and several versions, but be assured it's a scam that we want nothing to do with!
It's sad that people in many countries are so very desparate as to have to try to figure out ways to cheat people out of their family's funds. But that appears to be the truth about it.
What to do? Well we can report "the Scam" being posted here, we can ignore it, and be sure we dont go near it! Or we can make a silly and monumental mistake by engaging with the "Sir Pauls" of this world, and risk losing every penny we and our friends and family have or will have.
The choice is ours! Love to all, dusty
