About Me:
I am under no impression that others have to agree with me to be 'on the God bus'. The truth is, none of us really *knows* everything this side of heaven. I am a Christian and have my beliefs...others have theirs, so we can talk about them but I won't push mine on anyone. I expect the same in return. I don't much care if people disagree with me, provided they treat me and others with respect. I try to live this and 'love thy neighbor as thyself', but I fail miserably. But at least I try, that's more than I can say for some.
I'm married, have five cats who are my 'kids', am a Christian but was not always, and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. If we were all exactly alike, wouldn't life be really boring?
Thanks! It is a cute quote, but it actually comes from a not-so-cute place. It's a quote from Christopher Walken's character in the film, "The Rundown," which happens to be one of my all time favorite guilty pleasure.
Again, we are on the same page. When people realize the core of Christianity is about loving God with all that we have and are and others as ourselves, it really provides a pattern for thinking and living right spiritually. With that in mind, it's not loving the self to remain in an abusive situation be it marriage or other relationship.
Regarding denominations, God showed Pastor G and me long ago that denominations are mixtures of spiritual truth, spiritual error and doctrines of men. Since we love to avoid the latter two, we decided to simplify our spiritual life and follow Jesus and live His way of life without denominational restrictions.
Love the cat!
