Sometimes you dont realize

the smallest things you do

which may hurt because

I have failed to tell you

I know you love me

and so do I

but that one little label

gives doubt in my eye

You may not see it

and you have your ways

but we are more than there

as we've spent so many days

I've become attached

and yet I am so scared

because all that I've done

could be lost and then I'm bare

and that's the risk I take

a gamble of feeling 

yet I wish it wasn't like this

and hope that your wall is peeling

No matter how many people surround you
no matter how many tasks you think you need to do
nothing is better than taking a calm day
to see, to listen, to feel what spirit has to say

Certain events happens
which may appear gray
some cause to leave
while others make you stay

No matter what the universe brings
or how it presents each problem
know that there is something out there
loving you and never feeling numb

Whereever the wind is set to blow
Wherever the water decides to flow
The fire inside of me never dies
As the earth stays right before my very eyes

Some may ask if you're in school
Thinking a formal education is the best
But Earth has her lessons to teach every fool
and hers are one of the hardest to tests
