I believe that God is all that there is. There exist nothing else. Jesus said to the deciples, I in the Father, you in me, and I in you. This sounds of unification of all sentient beings. Jesus also said, I and the Father are ONE. The Jews say, Hear O' Israel, the Lord your GOD is ONE! My favorite bible book is JOHN. I returned from war in Vietnam in 1970, started out on a spiritual path, discovered that most Christians I met were DEPRESSED. Why? The answer to some may be hard but to me it was easy, having experienced what I experienced. I have respect for all truth seekers, but having been a warrior, can see that some are confused and trapped into following an "authority". That is other than their relationship with God. Brainwashed by denominationalism, mis-quoted scripture, mis-guided pastors and preachers, people retreat to chronic isolation, deceived and left to "wonder". God is not a MAN, MAN is not God. Jesus pointed to God while at times identifying himself as God "I AM". It is confusing! The bible has been chopped up, cut up and edited since the sixth century. Scientist, artist, God beliving people have been killed for standing up and speaking out. All by the hands of "Christians". Christians slaughtered Muslims, now Muslims slaughter Christians and the beat goes on. Again we as a faith nation jump in to other peoples countries and take them by force, calling it "righteous retaliation." Shock and Awe like the name of a movie or dare I say 21st century "crusade". No wonder long ago when I returned from war "church people" didn't understand me, and I don't to this day understand THEM. But I have learned to tell the real from the fake. So did Jesus. If you can get your hands on one of these books one by Bob George called "Classic Christianity", it's worth the money and the read - Brian McClaren's (possibly misspelled) "Everything Must Change".
