I just wanted to share that last Saturday I saw the new documentay about adults with autism, Wretches and Jabberers. It's probably the most moving film I have ever seen. The two men the film focuses on are 42 and 52, and only learned to communicate by typing 15-18 years ago, each having a professional working with them over the years. Now they travel the world as advocates for autism........A must see... stardustpilgrim

Hello fellow Autism Awareness members, Blessings to all and I would like to say hello to other members.. I was wondering if this group is still active? Or perhaps if we could make it a little more interactive? As a sole parent with two sons, one with ASD and one with ADD it would be lovely to have some support from this site, being more of a spiritual nature as well as practical... I have worked with children with Special Needs for several years - from Cerabal Palsy tto ASD to ADHD, ODD, etc etc... if can ever bbe an ear to listen or if anyone needs a sounding board, I am here and offering to lend an ear.... I have also had experience in relationships with those who have ASD, this can also be a rather challenging obstacle to overcome... Please dont hesitate to contact me if I can be of any help....
