“All the principles of heaven and earth are living inside you. Life itself is truth, and this will never change. Everything in heaven and earth breathes. Breath is the thread that ties creation together.” — Morihei Ueshiba

I'm a therapist, also trained in hypnosis (Ericksonian nontraditional indirect technique) and an artist. I have a love for Hinduism and Buddhism so I have seen many mandalas, but when I clicked onto your post, and saw this flower, represented as such, I was struck to my core. This is a mandala by the Creator Himself! All four of my lower bodies responded with JOY. Spiritually, I "receive the message" as "The Creator Exists!" Mentally, "He is Intelligent Order and Peace of the Universe", Emotionally, "He gifts us with Beauty through His Love", and Physically, I got a "rush" of warm healthy energy all through my body. You are really on to something! These photos need to be large poster-size for framing on the wall so that they can be meditated upon by those who meditate, or framed as art and their influence felt by all who pass by. I wish I had an advertising/marketing background, I would so love to help you with these "injections" of spirituality into the Consciousness of the world. But, alas, I'm only a painter.

I'm in search of healing from an ugly divorce, abuse, broken dreams, and a crisis of faith.

Thank you so much for having this group. Art is very healing for me. My photo is of a shrine I made; I wish you could really see the detail of it to appreciate it. But it is my favorite. Blessings to All.

Went to art school back in 2003/04 it was a very bad time for me yet this door opened to discover art, painting, drawing, sculpture with mixed media and it was so fantastic. There were areas I couldn't do comfortably due to abuse areas in my life. I haven't done anything for sometime now but have done lots of pen and ink drawings and abstract with acrylics and using different mediums to create different pictures. To date I have only one picture left, long story. But I must admit to feeling inspired yet again to go back to it. Started a degree in fine art but due to circumstances could complete it and was really sad about that. Maybe it's time to do it again. It is very healing indeed, I write a lot at the moment and always wanted to join the two together somehow.

Writing's been my release. Anyone who has had the chance to both lose themselves in something and find themselves in it is sure to know what I mean. My dearest friend actually attends art therapy, & I've heard all good things. One session empowered her to get out of one of those subtle but dire situations that slowly saps your joy. She plans to share some of what she learned with me when she moves back from NY. ;-D

My name is Leah and I am new to beliefnet. I have suffered from an eating disorder for the past 7 years and have used my love of hand-made paper and design as a form of therapy in my journey towards wellness. I have launched a website to showcase my work. I would love you to visit my site and also read my blog pages. I have a regular following on my blog pages. Please feel free to leave a comment there.....I have recently taken up Limestone sculpting as well and find the carving of stone into a form with smooth curves and fluency to be so very soothing and theraputic...I reccomend it to anyone seeking peace and tranquility....love and blessings to you all... www.leahzaccardo.com.au
