My name is Addie and I am twenty-six years old, living in Oklahoma.   Some people would call this state the heart land of America while others would identify it as being the "Bible Belt."   When I was hospitialized after having my gallbladder removed, the nurse asked me "What sort of Christian faith do you practise?"   I think I almost gave her a heart attack by informing her that I was agnostic. Well....that is after I explained what agnostics were.  

I was raised by parents that fostered not only the importance of having a belief system but the need for one to come to their own conclusions about faith.   My dad is an ordained Presbyterian pastor, so I grew up in the Church.   At 17 I became Buddhist and at 22, I was welcomed into the Roman Catholic Church.  I once believed that I was going to follow in my father's footsteps.  That time has past and I seek life's answers on my own terms.
